The Opinion Process
Getting an opinion from MDExpert is a simple process

The patient must choose which MDExpert service is most appropriate:

• Treatment Opinion on treatment options $2800

• Diagnosis and Treatment Opinion for patients who need their pathology reviewed as well as an opinion on treatment options. $2800 to $3200  Depending on the complexity, more than one specialist may be asked to consult on the case. (MDExpert recommends that all patients have their pathology reviewed by at least two sources, if not more. Check with your doctor to see if this has already been done.)
  • The patient must complete and sign the Release Form so that we can obtain his or her records to begin.
  • Our medical staff enters the clinical data into our web system and identifies the appropriate specialist from our extensive faculty to review the case.
  • The specialist views the case from his or her own web page and emails or dictates their opinion back to our operation center.
  • The opinion is reviewed by the MDExpert Medical Director and reviewed and approved by the consulting physician.
  • The opinion is then compiled into a report with clinical trials information, reference information and patient education materials.
  • This report is sent in duplicate to the primary physician for review and discussion with his or her patient.
  • Both physician and patient are queried for feedback within 2 weeks.
